UAE Residence visa is printed or stamped on each and every
residents passport, approximately 8.4 million of them, but many are still unaware
about the secrets of numbers written on UAE residence visa sticker specially the UID number also known as unified number and UAE Visa Number. Let’s discuss it.
If a person applying for new visa,
he/she first receive an e-visa also known as entry permit UAE before the visa sticker
print or stamp on the passport.
Which Authority manages the Visa Page?
Two authorities manage the visa
page. The GDRFA (general directory of residency
and foreign affairs) manages the visa related services whereas the ICP UAE (Federal
Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security) handle the Emirates ID applications.
Unified Number:
The first part of the visa is UID
Number which is the part of Federal authority for identity and citizenship records. UAE UID number contains 9 digits which is required to complete the Emirates ID applications.
If your UID no is not printed on your residence vis copy, and is showing Emirates ID number only, you can enquire about it using your passport information or file number through below link.
https://gdrfad.gov.ae/en/unified-number-inquiry-service
If someone cancelled the visa and
applied for new visa, the resident will get new visa number in UAE visa, but their UID
number will remain same. As we stated above that the UID is being used for
emirates ID purpose and everyone know that the UAE ID number never changes.
File Number:
Second part on visa page contains the
more information hidden in its numbers such as visa number, emirates that issued
the visa, year in which visa issued and the sponsor details. yalla check them all.
The first three digits describe the emirates
name that have issued the visa, for Abu Dhabi visas code will starts with 101,
Dubai visa code will start with 201, Sharjah with 301 and Ajman with 401.
The next number is the year in which
visa is issued, if person is working with one sponsor for long time his/her
visa year code will remain same upon renewal. The year code on visa will only update
if the visa is cancelled and applied new visa.

page is the UAE visa number (residence number) of resident. If you are looking or asked to enter your visa number, you should write this number. This number also has some secret

by a registered UAE company.
·

number begins with 3, it means you have a family visa also known as spouse

·
Only in Abu Dhabi
and Sharjah visas there will be a forward slash sign (/) after the number 2 or
