“The Academic Qualification Verification Project offers a range of benefits to government entities and the private sector, ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of academic qualifications used in the employment process through direct digital verification, This allows for more reliable hiring practices, reduces required paperwork, and streamlines the service into a unified verification process with a one-time fee.”

Simplified and Faster Process

Currently, expatriate employees must undergo a lengthy attestation process for foreign degrees, which involves verification in their home country before UAE approval, a procedure that can take over 10 working days. The new digital system aims to reduce processing times significantly, offering a more efficient and unified verification method with a one-time fee.

The project supports the ministry’s regulatory system in its efforts to curb harmful practices.”

Government Collaboration for Digital Efficiency

Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the service integrates with work permit issuance, aligning with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy program. Dr. Mohammad Al Mualla of MoHESR emphasized that the project enhances verification speed and accuracy while supporting national labor market goals.

This digital advancement reflects the UAE’s commitment to modernizing employment procedures, ensuring a more transparent and efficient workforce ecosystem. Employers and employees can access the service via MoHRE’s website, app, or business service centers nationwide.
